Which students are eligible?

This scholarship is designed to aid students who have had trouble through their high school years. Eligible students will not have a GPA higher than a 3.0. Any student may apply, provided he/she can complete a typed essay telling of a time they were in trouble and how they worked their way out of it.

What do I need to do to apply?

You must complete an essay, submit at least one reference letter from an employer and/ or teacher and enclose a current high school transcript.

What is the essay topic?

You will need to complete a one-page typed essay on the following: Tell us about a time where you were in trouble and how you got out of it.

When is the deadline?

April 18, 2019

Where do the applications need to be sent?

You will need to take your essay to the school office. Each school will have a person who will forward your applications to us.

When will the decision be made?

The board usually has a meeting in late April to Early May (always prior to graduation) to make their decisions.

How much is the scholarship worth?

Each selected student will receive a $2,000 scholarship.

How long is the scholarship good?

Each student selected has a total of two years after it is awarded to contact us and begin to use the scholarship before the offer expires.

Where can I use this scholarship?

A student may use this scholarship at any school he/she chooses. It is not limited to a Seventh-Day Adventist institution.

What are some helpful tips?

When you are completing your essay don’t use phrases such as “I deserve” and make sure to spell check your essay!
